Frames
Panama windsock frames are all metal to provide positive grounding through the bearings and the shaft. Nylon frames cannot offer this grounding capability. When our frames are mounted to an existing grounded pole or building, static and sparking are eliminated at hazardous sites.
All Panama frames 5 1/2 inches in diameter or larger are made with sealed metal bearings to withstand severe weather conditions and provide smooth 360° rotation in both directions. Any amount of breeze or wind will provide indication of airflow direction and velocity, potentially saving human life in the event of an emergency.
Custom extensions and mounts can be supplied in most cases. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Note: Some sizes over 18-inch diameter are considered stock sizes, but may not be available for immediate shipping. These low stock or no stock sizes can be assembled and shipped within 1-2 days.
